Piero Luigi Albery, è nato a Trapani nel 1955, ed è vissuto a lungo a Milano. Ha svolto studi artistici e frequentato l’Accademia di Belle Arti. Interessato agli aspetti e alle tecniche della ricerca sull’immagine, ha iniziato a occuparsi di grafica e fotografia negli anni settanta, prediligendo il linguaggio del bianco e nero. Ha realizzato numerosi volumi  e mostre fotografiche. Attualmente vive ad Arpino, dove ha ripreso a dipingere dopo molti anni dedicati alla fotografia.

Il drappo realizzato per il Gonfalone 2016, sintetizza passato e presente, mescolando l’essenza della manifestazione nei momenti più significativi: competizione, simbologia, costume.

Piero Luigi Albery was born in Trapani in 1955 and lived a long time in Milan. He carried out artistic studies and attended the Academy of Fine Arts. Interested in aspects and techniques of image research, he dealt with graphic arts and photography in 1970s, preferring the black and white style. He realized many books and photography exhibits. Currently he lives in Arpino where he resumed painting after many years dedicated to photography.
The pall made for the Gonfalone 2016, summarizes past and present, capturing the essence of the event in its most significant moments: competition, symbolism and costume.
